Every part of our work shares the same purpose — fewer animals lost, fewer animals suffering, more families kept whole.

PetAmies was born from personal loss. Kemi was a rescue cat — grey, green-eyed, found on a roadtrip having followed her future family back to where they were staying. When she went missing, the experience of searching, and the absence of a single free, trusted place to turn, made one thing clear: it should not be this hard to bring an animal home.
The name PetAmies combines “pet” with amies — the French word for friends — reflecting both the international heart of the project and its core belief: that pets are family, and that communities can come together to bring them home.

PetAmies is being established as a French Association loi 1901 — the standard non-profit structure that means every donation goes directly to the mission, all spending is reported transparently, and no profit is ever taken by anyone involved.
Although registered in France, PetAmies is a global platform and a global mission. The tool is free and available to anyone, anywhere. Donations fund the platform itself — the technology, running costs, and future development — so that help goes where animals need it most.
